Brent, the 249 sniper, although a bit absurd, would be the best gun ever ;D And, Caleb, I would love to try out the guns. Could you bring them to the next game that I can go to? heh, it would still be a support weapon... just very accurate as well. I bought an 11.1v 5000mAh lipo a couple years ago that was goign to run this thing, but obviously I never got around to it. Perhaps... one day........

Wow, that would be amazing. To have more range, accuracy, rate of fire and ammo capacity than everyone else would just be... amazing. Caleb, approximately how much would it cost to make a custom gun?

It depends on what gun you start with. Starting with something like a Classic Army G3, minimum I'd guess would be about $400. Of course you could always make the AUG a DMR and save quite a bit with not having to buy another whole gun. AUGs being a bullpup with a full V3 gearbox take to upgrades very well, are very robust, and can house a very long barrel with ease.

I'm interested, please expand. Will it being a JG cause any hitchs in the upgrading process?

jg's parts dont come together very well. if you put the same upgrades in both a jg and a g&g or other high quality brand, the higher quality brand will shoot far superior to the jg. if your looking for pressision you should start with something high quality as your base.

I agree completely with what Ben has said. I have living proof. I have a King Arms M4 that shoots very nicely at around 300 fps. The same gearbox, motor, madbull hopup and 455mm TBB removed from my King Arms M4 and placed in my AGM STG44 are absolutely terrible. Quite possibly the worst airsoft gun I've ever handled...
Anyways, I have an AK that's packing a Prometheus 590mm TBB and a proper DMR/LMG grade gearbox made of Guarder, Modify and Systema parts. I have to remove it from my AK to rewire it anyways. We can always slap that stuff in the AUG for giggles and see what it's like to know if that's a path you are interested in pursuing or not.

Hmmm....... intriging possibilities. I may take you up on that offer. I do think I want to keep the AUG as just an assault rifle, that way if I need a good back up, or if I need to loan one out, I have it. One prospect that has always inrigued me was to make a sniper out of a P90. How good of a gearbox, how large of a battery, and how long of a barrel can you fit into a p90? I just always thought how awesome it would be to accurately outrange people with m14s, m4s, and other "longer range" weapons with a p90.

I do DMRs a little different than most people. High FPS isn't necessary for very good performance (you saw my 1911 in action). Myself, I'd keep it somewhere around 400-420 fps that way it's still useful on full auto at every field but make it with high enough quality parts that party mode isn't necessary to get kills. My philosophy on guns is mid range FPS, a gearbox with a very good air seal, a good tight bore and good hopup. That formula will give you a gun that can out perform lots of weapons but still leaves you at normal engagement ranges and leaves you the option of full auto.
But to your question of a P90 "sniper", I don't have a very good answer at the moment. I'll have to do some research on V6 gearboxes and see how much barrel we can stuff in that with a silencer.

Cool, thanks. I doubt I would turn a P90 into a DMR, but I always thought it would be amusing.

Assuming your P90 has the same barrel length now as a CA P90 (sorry... dunno what brand yours is), the max barrel length we could get with a common and reasonable looking Madbul Gemtech replica is about 420mm. Personally I'd rather be able to use a 590mm for a DMR. In my experience, that seems to work best with most standard length piston gear boxes for maximum range and accuracy.

P90's a tiny gun. Don't want to have too long of a silencer. Also, doesn't take much to hush 5.7 FN...

P90 is another JG. So, probably wouldn't work any way. Oh well, just thought it would be funny.

Hey caleb, just out of curiosity, how much $ do you have in your FAL currently? And how much would it take to get it opperational? Also, when would be a good time for me to check it out?
