Ok, I know that all of us going are well versed in most of this stuff , but we need to be refreshed and molded again. This is the big show for us. We all know what the mission will be and we need to be ready. This is a video of what we need to do and we need to add on some other things too. Dont worry , you know that I know what is needed to be ready for MOUT and I will help us get ready. I know we dont do CQB that much but it is time to get ready for it. Irene is a CQB game 80% of the time. www.youtube.com/watch?v=rFDDhNGUP94&feature=fvw

When they turn the corner on a building (exterior) and one guys goes to a knee and the other shoots overhead is something we really need to work on. That and taking a room down. John and I versed in the 'delta' technique of this so I am sure we can all put our heads together and work out a technique that works well for us.

Its not htat hard and the best bet is really the army way. Cops do things a little twisty turny for my taste. Its better to just smash as many people you cna into a funnel and run thru the door. We will talk more . We might want to rehearse a little on the homecoming game. I wil lbring my glass house in a bag and we cna do a little . Later DOc

So greg and I just had a little meeting and movie. We made up a list of things we need to go over for our training. It mostly consists of MOUT training and some general situational awareness. The biggest part of all of this is to identify the danger zones in a room with open windows and on roofs with open points of vuneralability. We will go over these key points more on a MOUT site. The room movements and all are easily done at the Carr field in glass houses and at someones apartment that would be cool with clearing up some rooms so they are empty so we dont destroy some stuff and so we can focus on training. I would say gregs place is probably best due to lack of stuff in living room and availability of movement of stuff to differant rooms. But yeah , we will discuss all this at teh homecoming game.
Please post up if you are goign to be at homecoming game to do our training. I know there is another thread for this but we need to account for just our guys. Later DOc

Hey guys, this is kinda related since we did the "go long/short" training - AEG's seem to be allowed for indoor - room to room combat, as from the WARNORD sent out, Article 1, section C -
"FULL AUTO is NOT allowed indoors. Any time anyone enters a building where engagement with opposing forces is possible, they are required to switch to semi-auto only or pull a side arm (must also be in semi, such as in the case of a G18C, etc....)."
As long as it shoots Semi-Auto, AEG's are fine... Is there any contradictory evidence on the matter elsewhere?

Yes I read this yesterday and forgot to post up about it. I will probably go sidearm anyway when we are clearing rooms though just because it is easier to wield around.
Just a note. In the tunnel systems you MUST go to sidearm.

Yea, I read that as well, in which they made it very explicit to use Sidearms, but they don't indoor, which got me to read it closer and grab this section - good reminder, Brent.
This allows us to adjust tactics a little better, so we can have 1 or 2 guys with AEG's all the time to allow for better coverage room-to-room and while others are reloading to changing weapons. Also, gives us the option of better out-of-room coverage while the breach team moves through the room and opposition.

good vid from IRENE VI. I know it wasn't as Zusseman but this will kinda give you a feel for what going on. www.viddler.com/explore/riverrats/videos/11/It all starts going down at about 14 minutes. Long, but good watch. 19:49 oh man. 2 FF guys have a corner secured, turn a corner together and just pop a Ranger at close range. That was really cool. And you get to see it from 2 angles! This vid is also a good reminder of why we are all going to be carrying gas and ammo (not leaving it all at the regen). These guys start running out of gas and are calling on the radio for supplies. Ain't gonna happen to us. Looks like at this game with was pistols only inside. John Lu was with this squad and you hear him say, "pistols only in here guys." We will want to make sure and clarify when we get there.
