Ok, here's an AAR from Squiget:
First off i'd just like to say thanks to all who came out for this game! I know I had a lot of fun and I hope everyone else did. Thank you as well for everyone who stayed and helped with clean up!
We played 4 games today, all with "Med Pack" rules.
The teams were split with Shadow force and a few other people and the 2nd team was K.S.U.A.T, Mac Town, and Cougars
So here goes my AAR
Game 1, 45 minute time line with Medic rules. Death Match Scramble The two teams ran right for each other, dead heading with a stand off that pretty much lasted the whole game. Team 2 advanced quickly to get the advantage with a huge tree. Both Teams had some really great tactics, with great team work for the extraction of the wounded. Slowly one by one team 2 picked off team 1, while taking a few kills themselves ending by Time.
Game 2, 45 minute time line with Med rules. Capture the flag. This game was Awesome and hilarious. The two teams switched sides so they would know where their own flags were. I did not get to see what exactly happened. But what I do know is I walked into half of both teams standing around all wounded. (that was the funny part) Seriously 6 or 7 people from both teams standing only 30 feet from each other just loafing around because they both just mashed each other. Team 2 were all healed first and made a fast break for their flag. Meanwhile Duke is making a great sweep with the new kids on the way to team 1s flag. With about 2 minutes to go Duke grabs the flag and makes a break for team 1s base. But Team 2 was right behind her with their flag! (that was the awesome part). Ending with less then a minute to go with Team 2 retrieving their flag.
Lunch
Game 3, 1 hour, Med Rules. POW extraction.
At the start of this game two of teams 2's people had been imprisoned as POW's. After just a few minutes team 1 was hauling 2 more prisoners into the POW camp. I missed quite a bit after that i guess because when i returned there was only 1 POW left and i'm guessing every team member there to recover that last POW. and they did just that. Ending the game in just 40 minutes with team 2 completing their POW extraction.
Game 4, 1 hour. Med Rules. POW extraction.
At the start of this game two of teams 1's people had been imprisoned as POW's. This game was played out almost like a 2 Phase game. While half of both teams butted heads in the same spot as the first game. team 2's emphasis on slaughtering team 1's Medic, pushed outward while still defending amazingly well. There was a great big ol' gun fight towards the end. Team 1 did manage to extract one POW. The Game ended around 35 minutes with Team 2 eliminating all of team 1.

Going down to Oaklawn was great. No one really complained. Some thing I saw people address. I know people fogged up, but do not remove cover. Don't look around while you in a hot area, I like to see people have fun and not get they eyes shot out. Some people didn't call there shots. O well the refs did if they seen it. I know of one on our team the kid was young, and just wanted to have fun. But that was the wrong way. The other team did it also, I hate to say it but just pull the trigger until you hammer threw. Plus I did team kill a little. Sorry though I thought my gun was not working right. Once again Sorry Caleb(dmr). Also to some of my other team mates, that I peg (Different gun this round, different gun). Did not know it was you, I was protecting the guys that ran with me. Life goes on and everyone did have a good time. I did say on the last Oaklawn game shoot everyone. And keep your head on a swivel, because you don't know what will pop up.
1st game. Death match. Med rules Keep them safe or you whole team dies.
We went out in two different groups to see if we can knock them out. Caleb and Shane was up in front with two new guys in the group and tried to help keep them alive. Also not get shot them selves. Glad the medic came up from behind to heal them guys. DP came up from behind and gave counter fire while we tried to save our guys. The other team tried moving left to get us on that side. I move right after our guys were safe, went on the hunt. Took out the medic and a few other in this game. It was a close one, but everyone worked together to get the job done. Everything just feel into place and, we each tried to cover each other backs. Awesome game, it was great just watching each person do their thing.
GAME duel (ha, ha) Capture the FLAG Still same rules KEEP the medic alive (me)
We broke off into group again and left some people guarding the package and sent people off different direction. Our group took it wide and I hung back a little ways to watch the guys(keep there six safe and ready to heal.), tried to tell the other who when their own direction to stay with Shane, Caleb, and I. They were shot and don't know what happen to them. Shane and Caleb, and the other guy got pick off I do not know how many they got. But I took out three or four, and just hung back when a couple of our team came up from the back and then we clear the area. One guy was left and safety kill two, but we heal three. Then like six of seven of there team was in that cluster. Heal Shane and Caleb and started moving towards the flag. We were nine know and ready to roll. When our flag team called in for help. Ask if three of our team members could go back and help them out while we moved quick. With a Cougar(tofu) knowing the field and the aggressiveness of our team we moved fast. Got to the flag, Caleb got taken out while Shane shot the guy the got Caleb(I can't remember what was said by Caleb). I thought they took them out both, so I was creeping up on Shane six. When Shane grabbed the case and move out. With the two snipers and a back up we moved out. We did a long run all the way back to our base. I laugh when I still saw most of the team their still standing around when we cruised by. Totally wicked game.
Lunch time, WE were HUNGRY. 45 min break
Game three Save our team(POW) Med rules Keep me alive.
I had fun healing people and watching them get aggressive( This was close). We broke off into groups again and did our missions. A small force traveled the fence line while the large group did a full sweep of the area. Our team was getting pick off because not at the right area at the right time. Guns going down and other stuff. Gave Shane the echo and went off saving people with pistol in hand. Heal a bunch. Shane when thru Two Hi-caps (Holy Cra-). While I was healing people I pulled out my third 450 hi-cap thinking Shane was going to need this. I shot one with my pistol and kept a nother at bay while healing another. Ran out of bullets and gas and no time to refill. Had a sniper keeping me company and each other safe. Got back to my gun (YESSSSSS) and put a clip in it. We all went out hunting and some got picked off and could not be heal again. I mad a few retreat, and got out of there because there was only me left. Retreated and bumped up with the sniper again and we stayed far enough apart if someone got either of us the other would own them. I see the guys over the hill and I did not know if they were our guys. TOfu was signaling me about them and I creep closer to the ridge. When the guy went after him and I lit him up. It was on of our guys with the pows. (Sorry) He was bring them back toward our base. Horn blew we won.
Game four Same the game before except we where the bad guy holding the pows I was not medic this round, but the goal was to off the medic on the other team.
We as a group, was the aggressor. No prisoners. We left two or three guarding the pow and was off on the hunt. I thought this was the best game of all. We worked them over hard. I got the medic again and four others, then it was mop up. I shot at least two in the but this time around to make up for the island, last trip down. Shane and Caleb worked there magic and so did the others. I slipped around to there flank and got them. Amazing because big guys don't hide well. Then I hook up with a nother team mate and we went on the hunt. We worked as a pair and slipped in on their backs and took them out one by one. I watch Caleb and Shane go charging after one, and both got knock out. While the ref was their I slipped up on top the the hill and lit his but up. The ref laugh and said to the kid you got owned. We had everyone for the most part. We just had fun. Over all Great time all around had fun with all the team mates that we rolled with. Cougars, Mac Town, and a few other who I work with before, just made the game fun. Hope they like having us down, and hope to run with them again soon. Wayne (stickem1) Strick

Allright, here's my AAR, not to be confused with sqiget's above that I posted for him.
Game 1 (45 min deathmatch) We set up in a really good area, we had range, and we ended up killing three-fourths of their team pretty quickly. I had Caleb's M14, and it was so nice to be able to reach out and touch people, although bum-rushing and meat-shield is more my style. The only thing that I had issue with is that we didn't have security on the left side, and that ended up being the last part of the game, where we had to assault their position there, we could have gotten spacing from the beginning and I think we would have had no losses, but still, they had one guy left and I was the only dead guy on our team, so success.
Game 2 (Capture the Flag) Well, I must say that I love this game type, because it really is dependent on strategy and maintaining tactics while trying to move quickly. We left a little over half our force to defend the flag initially, then set out in small groups to try and take their flag. I took point of one group and decided to flank to the left, since we had switched positions and going up the gut would be a tactical mistake. However, 5 of the other team's guys were flanking the same way (their right, our left) and we ran into them when we were in a clearing and they were behind cover. My three went down, however, Wayne (our medic) and some sniper guys had hung back from us, and they were able to take out all 5 and medic my group and we continued on to the flag. They did not have 360 sector control going, their left side was completely open, and so we killed one of the guards (little hit issue there, but he'll call it next time) and I took the flag and high-tailed it back to base. I chose the long way around because we had it cleared, and had a guy about 10 yds in front of me so I could get in cover if we were ambushed. We won that one too, and it was a ton of fun.
Game 3 (POW, us attacking) We decided the best way to get the POW's out would be to tie up the other team in a firefight, and so I took a group up the gut and we took up positions and gradually thinned out the enemy forces. Wayne was medic again, and when my Scar's battery gave out, I took his SR-25 while he mediced some of our teammates. Eventually I emptied his two high-caps ( ;D) so I drew my M9 and bum-rushed their position, getting three kills, one of which was a safety kill. At this point we had eliminated most of their team, and we were pulling POW's out gradually. However, we were transporting the last of the POW's out when game was called, so we didn't quite finish, but we were close.
Game 4 (POW, us defending) This game was so short, it only took about 25 mins. The best defense is an unstoppable offense, so once again I took point and we set out to kill the other team. We got their medic pretty quickly, but they had a good position and so me and Caleb were dead for about 10 mins before we got mediced. And then the game was ended by us killing the last guy on the other team.
Overall, I had a lot of fun. It was disappointing that I couldn't use my upraded M4 because the air nozzle was too big to allow bb's into the barrel, but I'll make up for it Sunday. ;D The field here was small, but it had good terrain and cover, I would have liked to have played over a greater area, I think that would have improved gameplay. I had issues with medic rules, having one team designated white by a white ribbon and then having white medic bandages is a mistake. One designated medic is cool, but the hit rules need to be thought over, it should be bursts of fire, not the bbs that hit you. I liked the scenarios, but maybe mix up the teams a little bit next time, because my team seemed to be the more aggressive one, we used that to our advantadge, I just think the teams could have been balanced a little better. In conclusion, it was a lot of fun, and I plan on going to the next event as well.

I'd like to preface this AAR by saying that I had a great time but probably made quite a few tactical blunders for the simple fact that I was running on 2 hours of sleep... I think Shane and I were not at our best because of the lack of sleep and could have been more of an asset had we been on our A game. Anyways, my AAR will be a bit incomplete as my Alzheimer's and the lack of sleep have made the details fuzzy. 1st scenario, 45 min deathmatch: One thing I like about the Oaklawn game is they start out with a quick, simple deathmatch game to familiarize people with the field. KSUAT, MacTown, and the Cougars owned the first game (and really a good part of the day). We started out with a great defensive position that the opposing team continually crashed into and never successfully penetrated. Wayne managed to hit their medic taking him out of the game and drastically changing it in our favor. After that, Shane and I tried to take up position on the left flank as the enemy's remaining forces attempted to assault that side. Shane got hit, I had two other team mates move up under covering fire to a tree for cover. Then I flanked around them and was promptly team killed [cough] WAYNE [/cough] sorry bout that. I had to cough and it sounded like someone's name! But as Shane said, I was quickly mediced and continued to move around the side as I had originally started to do. I took out a couple of the other team with the AK to where there was only one guy left. So a few of us started to ratchet down on him and the game horn blew. 2nd Scenario, CTF: I think this was where Shane, one other dude (sorry... don't remember the name) and I were taken out pretty quickly with extremely heavy fire while in a clearing. So after a while we were mediced and back in the game and hooked up with a sniper and a couple more assault gunners and proceeded to travel the long way all the way behind their flag. Shane and I came up on a guy who was in very poor cover near their flag and had the drop on him and shot him from just outside his engagement range with the SCAR-L. The guy didn't call it so Shane opened up on him with a 10.8 volt epic win battery in the SCAR, the guy turned and shot me in the face with his M16 from about 25 feet with a 10-15 round burst so I drilled him until I heard him call it from 25 feet from my M14 and he started yelling STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP. With my rate of fire and lack of a spread, I'd imagine it was unpleasant since I returned fire with a face shot since that's all I could see of him. I called myself out after I shot him but I let him know how unhappy I was with him not calling himself out when he had been hit by Shane twice already. Two of us shouldn't have to drill someone like that for him to call it. With the two hit to be wounded thing, I was technically still good to go but since I was kinda a jerk to the no-hit-caller by drilling him like that, I called myself out. Anyways, Shane took the flag and started hauling tail with a few less in shape team mates following behind. The other two scenarios are a bit too fuzzy for me to do a good AAR on. Anyways, I would change the medic rules a little. Having it so that you have to be hit twice to be wounded encourages dishonesty. To the people who don't call their hits, this sport require honesty. I let a lot roll off my back on the field but the one sure way to make people mad is to not call yourself out when you get shot especially when it is blatantly obvious. Please, play honestly. You won't be shot unnecessarily if you just call it after the first few BBs! I also noticed the refs calling some people out. That was unnecessary too... Frankly, the refs should have given them a warning. But it was a fun game. The KSUAT, MacTown, and Cougars team was more aggressive and worked well together after having been on opposite teams for last month's game. I think our aggressiveness is why we won most if not all scenarios. But even without winning, I had a great time. I don't play to win. I play to do as well as I can as honestly as I can. As long as I get to shoot people, I'm going to have fun. I wanna say thank you to Gunny, Squiget, and all the others who worked on this game. By the way I complained in this AAR, you'd think everyone was cheaters but the vast majority of the players there are great people and honest players. I just wanna clarify that. I really enjoy playing at Oaklawn. There's a lot of very cool people down there and I look forward to playing with you all again. Caleb Kersenbrock (cutlasslord)

Just a quick reply about a few points that were made here. First off, I think you all did a great job not only on the field, but with your AAR's as well. We really appreciate the feedback so that the games can be improved. We have only used about half the land that we have available on these first games largely due to the number of players involved. If we played the entire area per the AO map, people could have walked for hours and never see any action... When the attendance numbers get larger, so will the AO... ;D Secondly, about the hits vs bb's, etc.... That rule was poorly explained. It should have been just as you said. Death by burst not by bb count. Hell.. a lot of people have a hard time realizing they've been hit much less count the bb's hitting them... This should be corrected in the next games. Team color vs white bandage. What can I say... you're absolutely correct again. It was a BAD idea.... Again, this will be corrected. Just one more time, I'd like to personally thank all of you for attending. I know it's a heck of a drive for you, but we really appreciate your attendance. Also a thanks goes out to all those that volunteered for medic, cleanup, ref, etc.... See you all next game (I hope.... ).

Hello, here is the Oklawn games from my part of the game.
Game 1. I spent most of the game waiting for someone to be wounded, so I go and get them and bring them back to the medic. I spent a little time protecting the right flank, but then had to go and get another wounded. I did not get a chance to take anyone out, but I did get to extract some wounded! K.S.U.A.T. and the Cougars held the front line beautifully. While my guys and gal, MTM (Mac Town Militia) protected and escorted the medic.
Game 2. Capture the flag! Our forces are split in two. One half goes for the flag, the other half and I stay to watch over the flag. Soon after the start of the game I herd gun fire in the direction of our assault team. So I sent two other guys to go and help out if needed. Then I heard my team member come over the radio, to say that they were all wounded. I could not help them for I didn’t know where our medic was. So MTM hunkered down about 100’ apart and surrounded the flag. Bettyp was engaged first with age’s. Then her battery went down. That left Bill and I to defend. Bill was soon defending form two sides, taking cover behind the tee-pee. I moved to help him out and counted maybe 4-5 enemies. I eliminated two, and Bill got one before we began being suppressed by a LMG. Then my teammate radioed in that they were all healed, and I asked for three guys to come and help. Soon after they arrived I took off at a dead run to draw fire so the rest of the team can get there heads out from behind cover and get that LMG. When I was out of danger I began to maneuver around on the enemy right flank. While I was doing that the game was over we won.
Game 3. P.O.W. rescue. I was with the small team of four that took the south fence line. Led by James from XA, we maneuvered to just south of where our P.O.W.’s are being held. Took out one sentry then set up a sniper position on the south ridge, while the rest of the group moved up, and James scouted ahead. I must have had a good spot because I had four enemy sitting there waiting to be healed within 150’ of my position. I soon moved up with James and we moved up to get the P.O.W.’s from their captors. In our approach a member of the enemy team safety killed their medic. We freeded two prisoners and then. James began to lead them back to our start point. Bill Ian and I began to extract the other two. Soon we were successful game over.
Game 4. This game was pretty boring, lots of sitting and waiting, watching the back side of the start area. Two enemies did try to get by but did not make it very far. Soon K.S.U.A.T. had eliminated all but one of the enemy. Then the game was over.
So everyone had a great time. This is one of the game days that will stick out in my mind. Special thanks to the Cougars, and all of the andmin who made this possible.
