Its that time of the year again. Please message me if you would like to run for an office. Please let me know by the 20th of April if you intend to run.
Here are the offices, and an explanation of what they do. (according to my interpretation of the constitution, I've also put them in order of chain of command)
President:
The leader of the team. They speak for the team, organize things for the team, and are in charge of the team. When it comes to gameplay, the president steps aside because the captains are in charge of games, but if he feels it necessary he can talk to them privately, and intervene if safety or the good of the team demands it. He is also in charge of the constitution, calling meetings, and ensuring that the other officers do their duties and serve the team.
Vice President:
This office is here to support the president, he shares the same responsibilities and powers of the president, but to a lower degree.
TFI President:
The TFI president presides over the TFI "portion" of the team. He is a non-student who represents that segment of the team, but his powers are subordinate to those of the president. He shares the same responsibilities as the president as well, with a focus on non-student members. As far as chain of command is concerned, he is a second vice-president.
Captains: (3)
These officers are responsible for everything related to gameplay. Scenarios, safety briefs, enforcing rules, etc. all fall under their responsibilities. They are the primary officers on the field, "higher" officers do not intervene unless they feel it necessary.
Treasurer:
This officer is responsible for keeping track of the team's finances. This includes reporting expenses and budgets to the team, and organizing and taking part in fundraisers. (Bramalage cleanups at this time)
Public Relations Officer:
This office was created out of the ashes of the Multimedia Technician. This officer's responsibilities will be storing and keeping track of equipment, checking out loaner equipment when necessary, and chronoing on the field. They will also be responsible for promo videos, and updating the website. (website negotiable)
All officers should be prepared to make a commitment to the team, and they should recognize that as an officer they bear responsibilities first and power second, and serving the team should be their primary goal.
